It's been a year!!
Today marks exactly one year since the Chic moments blog was published. Wowww! I am also excited to be back at this after two months of silence. I've been busy being a mom to my two months old princess, Aiko and her big sister Miss Sunshine.(This is a story for another day) Allow me to congratulate myself for making a year. I feel especially blessed to have made it this far. The picture was quite fuzzy then, yet here we are. Blogging has so many aspects that I was mostly clueless about and hadn't anticipated when I began.
It’s been, still is a learning journey for me. Heck, I’ve even learnt more about punctuation than I did in those boring high school lessons. Most of my first posts were edited by hubby who inserted not less than 10 commas on each post. (True story) Also, I have stopped being so cautious and so critical of my writing.
I am also learning to relax in front of the camera. Yes, it’s not as easy as it appears…. taking photos for fun and doing it for more serious reasons are two extremely different things. I have to thank my amazing photographer (Julius Kasujja of Life Touch Images) for helping me in this area
I must admit that putting myself out there on the internet hasn’t been easy either; yet the few personal posts I have published generated the most traffic. Yes! People want to make a real connection. I feel blessed to have shared those very special moments of my life with you. I look forward to sharing more and more of these special moments.
Also Rome wasn’t built in a day; I have learnt to be really patient. The temptation to always analyse the google analytics chart was ever present until I chose to focus more on the actual content. Needless to say, I have seen steady progress.
I have also been fortunate to have such a great support system; from hubby, to my sisters, to friends, fellow bloggers and all of you who take time to read this blog. You guys have kept me going. God bless you!
I am very optimistic about the future. There is a lot more in store for Chic Moments…
Love and Blessings
